Frederick Nelson Quarles, M.D.

Dr. Quarles is a native of Detroit where he attended public school. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. degree in Zoology.  After receiving his M.D degree from Howard University College of Medicine, he went on to complete his dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Quarles has been privately practicing Dermatology in the Hampton Roads area for over 20 years.  Not only is Dr. Quarles board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, he is also recognized as a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology and has served as the Chairman for the Dermatology Section of the National Medical Association.  He is an active member and leader in national, state, and local medical/dermatological societies. In addition to his active membership, Dr. Quarles is a contributor to national, state, and local journals, newspapers, and magazines.  You can look forward to watching Dr. Quarles every other month on WAVY NEWS 10 as a dermatological consultant and expert.
